It's unfortunate if someone has a pc crash, disconnect or 23 error, but we can't restart every game in which such a situation occurs (let alone check the replay before we make a decision) due to timing constrains. In addition there is also the problem you mentioned about the possibility of unfair behaviour.

Also in cnc4 the players who are still in the game can build more units and have lower buildtimes to make up for the missing player.


In the last tournament my team had a situation where we lost a player 2mins ingame, it was hard, but we still managed to win that game.

If the player skills in both team are equal, or at least not far from each other, having more units and building faster cannot replace the missing teammate. The crawler, the support powers, or just his attention can make a huge difference.

I understand your opinion about the DC rule, though I still find it a bit unfair. Well, maybe next time.
